Senior Oracle DBA

JOB SUMMARY
iTradeNetwork is currently seeking a talented, senior-level Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have experience with concurrent and highly available distributed Oracle systems. Candidates should have a proven ability to rapidly master complex new skills and concepts, as well as the ability to work independently and self-motivate. Successful candidates for this position will have the ability to rapidly troubleshoot complex technical problems. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will primarily have responsibility for operations and administration of 24x7 environment, as well as scalability, capacity planning, design and tuning. These responsibilities require coverage and response to systems alerts during after-hour periods. Specific database performance issues, error messages or service problems will be routed directly to the Database Administrator. Candidates should have excellent Unix skills and a grasp of fundamental computing concepts such as system calls, memory management and program debugging.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years Oracle DBA experience, 5+ years in a 24/7/365 environment
- Experience must include advanced skills in Oracle 9i - 11g design, administration, performance optimization, PL/SQL, schema design, troubleshooting, SQL tuning, data backup and recovery, conversion and data warehousing
- Experience in maintaining large-scale database-driven Internet applications using Oracle as the back-end
- Primary point of contact duties for 24/7 on-call DBA tasks
- RMAN and Oracle recovery techniques
- Oracle Data Warehousing experience a plus
- RAC experience a MUST
- Experience with Oracle Streams and CDC a plus
- Experience designing and testing an effective Standby environment
- Oracle Data Guard (including Active) experience a plus.
- Experience Oracle BI tools & JDBC
- Exceptional resourcefulness and problem solving skills
- Experience managing complex projects
- Veritas VCS and Storage Foundation experience helpful
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art web technologies, networking infrastructure, systems integration, interoperability, and relational database design
- Solaris 9/10 & RedHat EL3/4/5 fundamentals
- General knowledge of systems administration concepts such as: NFS, SAN configurations, XML, diagnostics.
- Ability to explain complex technical information to individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds
