Senior Infrastructure Administrator
Location: Boise, ID

JOB SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Administrator's role is to plan, organize, and manage the overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.
Planning and Organization 10% of Time
- Planning for infrastructure changes and improvements
- Documentation of current and future infrastructure
Management of Infrastructure 70% of Time
- Provide internal end user support on all hardware and software.
- Responsible for all facilities-related environments including: physical security, climate control, electrical systems, computer hardware and off-site storage facilities
- Responsible for the monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment of network, internet and server
- Generates internal e-mail directory and provides users with support for sign-on, passwords and troubleshooting
- Responsible for all electronic file systems management and ensuring all systems are regularly backed up
- Responsible to ensure that all users are able to access a safe and secure system
- Provides help desk support for desktop applications and deploys updates as necessary
- Provides support for cell phones, landline phone system, printers, copiers, projectors and remote VPN access
- Deploy, administer, and support all internal applications; i.e. intranet, CRM, PM tools, defect tracking, and issue tracking.
- Develop new tools for internal use and further enhance existing internal applications.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of itradenetwork's infrastructure.
- Assist with the implementation of appropriate security measures.
- Monitor performance of entire infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate event logs of updates to all equipment.
- Provide end user training.
- Provide support for all production datacenters and support tickets
Representation and Education 20% of Time
- Represents infrastructure department in design and project meetings
- Responsible for procurement quotes and vendor relations including: p.o.'s, packing slips, invoices, etc.
- Rotates on call every other week; requires staying within 20 minutes from home or office computer
- Remains up to date on certifications, industry standards and new product solutions as it relates to company infrastructure
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- BA or BS degree in CIS or CS, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of networking experience required
- Server and Desktop hardware and demonstrated software and network troubleshooting skills required
- Professional certifications a major plus
- Internet infrastructure experience a plus
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, Windows 7 operating systems.
- Knowledge of Windows 2008 AD infrastructure administration, maintenance, and backup and recovery.
- Knowledge of Windows Clustering, Exchange 2003, IIS 6, IIS 7, Windows Sharepoint Services, System Center Operations Manager, and Windows network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Cisco switching, routing, and security platforms.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, FTP, AS2, HTTP, SNMP, and SMTP.
- Knowledge of F5 traffic managers, EqualLogic SANs, and VMWare infrastructure a plus.
- Familiarity with VB Script, PowerShell, HTML, .NET, XML, Java, and WMI.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system.
Must have unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
