Job Title: Data Manager

The Data Manager (DM) will serve as a liaison between Instill's data providers, Operator Account Management, System Support and Operations. The position is responsible for expanding client integrations with existing data providers, defined as foodservice distributors, manufacturers and operators, in the Instill data source network based on defined customer rollout schedules. The DM is the primary interface responsible for the development of technical and business relationships within the data provider organizations. The DM also manages the day-to-day relationships and issue resolution with data providers when issues cannot be resolved internally. Responsibilities for this position are applicable to Instill Spend Management, Instill Trade Spend Data Services, Instill Inventory Management and Instill Procurement solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with data providers.
- Timely and accurate analysis, responsiveness and follow through to resolution for internally and externally (Client or data provider) identified data issues.
- Resolving vendor (data provider) related problems with regard to file specifications, file failures, data quality and quantity, timing and completeness of client data.
- Coordinate with the PSO to develop data standards and establish ongoing relationships with data provider contacts.
- Support PSO as needed with tasks related to the test/integration phase including content review and file validation, integration test process, production readiness and deployment.
- Complete assigned integrations for existing data providers as scheduled according to integration guidelines and provide status to Account Management and Data Plant Operations.
- Work with team to continually redesign and improve and document departmental processes.
- Work with Product Management and Engineering or other outside providers to improve tools used in data control processes and drive toward the automation of processes where possible.

- Must have the right personality to establish and maintain mutually beneficial supplier relationships based on sound professional practices.
- Process focus coupled with strong analytical research, problem solving skills and the organizational ability to create order from chaos.
- Excellent phone, written communication and teamwork skills are a must.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in escalated conversations
- Individual must have proven ability to manage multiple assignments or projects on an aggressive timeline including tracking and reporting status regularly.
- Experience using software tools such as PLSQL, MS Access, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to develop Access database tables, queries, forms and processes is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in process or relationship management geared towards foodservice distribution, or operations management
